Summer Ready Makeup!

The sun has come out, and the weather is warm! I am super excited about summer, but with the sweltering heat comes a new makeup routine. Here are a few tips to keep your makeup in tact in the hot weather, and by the pool!

Let's start with foundation. Generally in the summer you'll need a little less coverage and something easy with an SPF to protect you from the sun. I like to use a tinted moisturizer, simply because it is easy to use and gets the job done. My favorite one right now is the Sonia Kashuk tinted moisturizer that can be found in target for about $12. Super Super affordable!

A tinted moisturizer will give you a nice and dewy finish without feeling oily, or looking too too shiny. Set it with a really light translucent powder and you're
ready to go.

Priming your eyes is the next important thing. You want to keep your eyeshadow look vibrant and long lasting throughout the hot day. You may be at the pool or just hanging out. My favorite to use especially in the summer is Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin. The primer is tinted with a light champagne shimmer that would look great under your summer bronzed eyes, or even just alone. You can find UDPP in Sin at any Ulta or Sephora.

As for your eyeshadow color, always be yourself! Do whatever you like! My favorite to do in the summer are bronzed smokey eyes. Sometimes I'll add in a pop of color somewhere, but the bronzed look is really in for this summer!

I hope everyone enjoyed this little post.

Spring Fever!

Spring is Springing!
I am so very excited for the trends that are coming out this season. I'm excited for the flip-flop weather, the skirts, and the dresses! here are a few of my favorite picks for the Spring. Keep in mind this is my personal style. You may or may not like what I pick, but give it a shot. Always, Always, Always stick to your own personal style, no matter what season it is.

This dainty denim number is part of Tory Burch's Spring 2010 colle
ction. It is a new twist to the Burch ballet flat family. Denim is making a come-back in the spring and there are nume
rous ways to wear it. It may seem a little dated but this cute little shoe is making it easy.

This one is from Urban Outfitters. Florals are always in for the spring, but the silhouette is what I'm loving for spring. It's 50s feel to it makes it timeless. The sleeves are a perfect length and the dress isn't too long either!
The romper is also making a come-back, after all fashion repeats. The rompers this season comes in all shapes and colors. Be sure to get one that fits YOUR body. The one above is from forever21 and is perfect for the Spring weather.

I hope this blog was a productive one, I haven't been updating much but I'm going to try and make it a regular.

Blazers Blazers Blazers

During Fall/Winter we saw the blazer get more and more popular. The problem with winter is that we can't wear the wardrobe all year round. With Summer, a shirt here or there may work with a jacket or sweater. Where I'm from Winter clothing may not even be worn during winter!

The blazer is something you can wear all year round! Wear it over a cute little dress for nighttime, or maybe over a pair of shorts and a t-shirt during the day. I know what you're thinking, blazer is business. But it's not.

Stars from Kim Kardashian to Miley Cyrus has shown us a wide range of blazer wearing.

You don't need to spend much money, be on the look out for sales and deals. Stores like Charlotte Russe and Forever 21 carry a big variety for all shapes, sizes, and styles!

Here is an easy Springtime look for you!

Springtime!!

Spring is one of my favorite times, it's the prequel to Summer and the Winter weather blows away. With spring comes an array of pastel and delicate colors. Here are a few of my favorite nail polishes to wear in the springtime.

Some selections may not be for you, but I will be sure to put in some neutrals :)

This is a mint green from MAC. I know that this isn't a conventional color, but it's just so fun! You might not want to spend the money on a MAC color, but any pastel green would look adorable.

Do you LILAC it? I do! this is one of my favorites from OPI. It doesn't even have to be Spring and I'll wear it! This is a color for those of you that are iffy about a GREEN or a weird YELLOW. Let me know if you LILAC it too!
Essie's Tart Deco is part of their new Spring collection! I am so very excited to sport this one. It's not quite pink, but not quite orange. Perfect medium. Don't you think?

I hope you guys enjoyed my few selections. Are there any colors you are loving for Spring? Let me know in the comments.

Perfect Brows

We may not always realize it, but our brows are very important! Nicely groomed brows will complete any makeup look. Your eyebrows frame your face, and if they're groomed correctly could also make you look a lot younger.

Here are a few ways to keep your brows looking good....

1) Do Not Over Pluck
A better way of wearing your brows is to keep them full. Fuller brows frame the face better and make you look a lot younger. Fuller does not mean bushy, so make sure you keep your brows neat.

2) Get Professional Help
Some of us might not like taking the extra trip to the salon, but it is worth it. There you can get your eyebrows shaped. Doing it yourself at home may not be the best way to do it. To lessen your trips to the salon keep up with your brows.

3) Tweezer Pluck Your Brows
After getting your brows shaped make sure you keep up with them. Just a few hairs here and there and you'll keep your shape longer. Remember not to over pluck your brows or else you'll lose the shape.

4) No Pain!
If you don't like to do your eyebrows yourself because of the pain, try plucking right after the shower. The moistness and hotness of the shower opens up your pores making it less painful to pluck.
Another good trick is to put ice on your brow for a few seconds before plucking to numb the area just a little.

I hope all of these tips have helped!
Let me know if there are any tricks you have.

Nail Polishes I LOOOOOVE

This is just pure glitter and JOY! I love love love this nail polish. It's so beautiful, shiny, and most of all distracting. I find myself distracted by the color of my nails while I drive (probably not too safe). Although I love this color to the fullest, it lacks longevity. I find that the nail polish feels off quickly. I'm going to need to find a way to make it stick! I never want it to go away!

Mad As a Hatter (Alice In Wonderland by OPI)

Here it is, Dorothy's red pumps in a bottle. My new roommate and I decided to take a trip down to Sally's and saw this in the Wizard of Oz collection by China Glaze. We are enamored. This is a beautiful twist to an untimely classic!

I first heard about this color on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It was the episode where Kim finds a little lost stray dog. Right before she finds the dog she walks into the nail salon asking, "Do you have the color 'My Private Jet' by OPI?" I had to look it up, and duh! I fell in love.

It's a dark charcoal with exciting specks of metallic silver!

Things I am Loving!

This animal print phase I am going through is starting to stick. I've been loving anything and everything in leopard print or zebra print. I also love new things, like the infinity scarf. When I found a combination of the two, I was more than thrilled!
